25C Tax Credits Reinstated for High Efficiency Water Heaters

The 25C tax credits have been retroactively reinstated from 1/1/12 through 12/31/13. Equipment that qualifies for the $300 water heater tax credit includes natural gas, propane or oil water heaters with an energy factor of .82 and higher or a thermal efficiency of 90% or higher. Electric heat pumps or hybrid water heaters may also qualify depending on the energy factor rating.
